OpenStore Terms of Service

Effective September 7, 2026. Operator: Int.Reaction llc. Contact: support@openstore.sh.

The service and this agreement

These terms govern use of OpenStore's hosted service at mcp.openstore.sh and website at openstore.sh, provided by the operator named above ("we"). By using the hosted service you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the hosted service. You must be legally able to enter this agreement and have authority to act for any organization on whose behalf you connect a repository.

OpenStore provides MCP tools for an AI client to read and change files in a GitHub repository you select. New stores use a minimal Open Knowledge Format starter. GitHub provides storage and authentication; the remote endpoint is a convenience for connecting clients. OpenStore does not replace GitHub or your AI provider.

The source code's Apache-2.0 license separately governs your rights to use, modify, and distribute that software. These hosted-service terms do not narrow those rights or govern another operator's self-hosted instance.

Access and responsibilities

Use only repositories and information you are authorized to access and share with your chosen client. Protect your GitHub account, devices, and client-held connection credentials. You are responsible for selecting the repository, its visibility, and the permissions granted. Existing repositories may have different visibility settings from new private stores.

Do not use the service to violate law or others' rights, obtain unauthorized access, distribute malicious content, bypass access restrictions, or disrupt the service. Do not place passwords, API keys, or other secrets in the knowledge store. The tools are not a credential vault or a regulated-records compliance service.

Your content and AI actions

You retain ownership of your content. You authorize us to process and transmit it only as needed to perform requested operations and provide the service, including through GitHub and your chosen client. This permission does not transfer ownership or allow unrelated publication, advertising, or model training by OpenStore.

Clients may make mistakes or act under permissions you previously granted. Inspect important edits and configure client confirmations to match your needs. The server enforces connection access limits, but it does not independently verify your approval of each write. A read-only connection prevents mutation tools from being available.

Changes are Git commits. Reverts create additional commits and may fail when files have changed again. A deleted file can remain in history, backups, clones, and prior client conversations. Keep independent backups when needed; OpenStore is not an archival guarantee. See the Privacy Policy for data handling.

Third-party services and charges

GitHub, your AI client, and other services you use have their own terms, privacy practices, limits, and availability. You are responsible for any charges you agree to with them. These terms do not authorize OpenStore to charge you. Any future paid OpenStore offering would require disclosed pricing and separate payment agreement.

Availability, changes, and termination

We may change, limit, suspend, or discontinue the hosted endpoint, including for security, abuse, legal requirements, or operational reasons. We will provide notice of material changes when reasonably practicable. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, compatibility with every client, or recovery of lost content.

You may stop using OpenStore at any time. Revoke GitHub access and disconnect clients to stop authorized access. Disconnecting does not delete your repository or copies already obtained by your client. Ending hosted access does not terminate your rights to the source code under its open-source license.

Warranties and liability

To the extent applicable law permits, the hosted service is provided as available, without warranties of fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that tools or AI-generated changes are error-free.

To the extent applicable law permits, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or loss of data arising from use of the hosted service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable mandatory consumer protections. We do not require arbitration or a waiver of class actions in these terms.

Questions, disputes, and updates

Contact the operator at the address above about complaints or disputes. Mandatory local legal protections remain available to you. These terms do not select an exclusive court or override rights that apply where you live.

We will publish revisions with their effective date and identify material changes on the website. Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain agreement before applying new terms. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
